Demo Reel update

Just got home from the Renaissance Faire, so I'm going to update my Demo Reel over here before I pass out.

Psyche Dialog Test

I've been working on a dialog test for Psyche over the last few weekends to test out her design.  I'm pretty satisfied with it.  This is the furthest I've taken my animation in a while (where I've made an attempt at cleaning it up).  I also voiced Psyche for this one as I have not been able to find sound clips I like from the actresses who I've mentally cast as Psyche (mainly Amanda Seyfried and Emma Stone). 

I'm trying to figure out how to work my newish Storyboard Pro program so that I can start seriously storyboarding out parts of my script.  I'm also working through the script editing it.  I'm also going to try and get one of my sisters to look it over during their spring break, fresh eyes and all.

Sketch_Dailies and some quick (like 30 second) life drawings

So, I've been super busy and running around getting stuff together for the Gallifrey One convention (Doctor Who convention-I totally met Arthur Darvill and Billie Piper!)  and haven't had the time to upload stuff on to photobucket to put up here.  If you're following me on Tumblr (link is above) you've probably seen most of these, but I like to spread things around.

I've been participating in Sketch_Dailies on Twitter.  They give a topic each morning and you have to come up with a design that falls in the category.  I haven't done all of the days, but I've done quite a few.

9 and Rose above London

Just noticed it's been a month since I've posted over here.  As I've said many times before I am just horrible about updating over here.  If you want to stay more up to date with my art you might want to check out my Tumblr (I also post work in progress images over there as I work on projects.) Anyway I've been writing and sketching doodles in my sketchbook for the past month than really working on finished artwork.

I've been working on a commission for my sister for the last few weeks.  We're going to print this out poster sized and take it to be autographed by Billie Piper at the Gallifrey One convention next month.  This has probably been one of the most challenging pieces I've ever done.  Big Ben in particular was very difficult.  While the final piece is not perfect I really like the simplicity of it.

 I'm going to be working on some new Doctor Who Valentines to pass out at Gallifrey One, so I'll post those as the convention gets closer.

Just popping by with a life update.

Sorry I've been so neglectful of this blog for the last few weeks.  Between recovering from the cold I got from CTN, Thanksgiving, and how cold it's been getting I haven't really been drawing or finishing anything to post up here.  The most artsy stuff I've been doing is some really rough doodling that I have yet to scan and editing stuff to add thing to my stores (Society6 is doing some holiday promotional stuff so check it out). 

The lack of updates will probably continue for the next week or two as I'm having LASIK surgery on Friday morning.  Soon I'll be glasses free!  I'll have to limit my computer use for a while after the surgery, but I'll be back as soon as I can, hopefully with some new stuff!

I'll leave you with the only thing I've managed to get close to finished.

More gods and goddesses and a Portfolio update.

I'm attending CTN this week, so I've updated my portfolio website.   You can reach it by clicking the portfolio link above.  I've updated my demo reel on the animation page and have added some newish illustrations and character designs (mostly stuff that I've already shown here)

Now onto my Greek Pantheon designs.  I've been working on designs for Apollo, Artemis, and Persephone this week.

Aphrodite and Ares

I've put together some model sheets for Aphrodite (like the ones I made for Cupid and Psyche).  I've also finally reached the half-way point in writing the script, so yay for that!

I'm working up some designs for the rest of the Greek pantheon and for the other characters for the project.  The first one I've finished is Ares.
